Improve the look of the default Whmcs blend admin theme free download
WHMCS 5.1 has recently been released and i have been anticipating this release for some months now it includes various fixes that were much needed including some updates to the appalling blend default theme that was shipped with v5.0.
The UI tweaks in 5.1 are good but can still be greatly improved. I spend a fair few hours tweaking the blend admin theme and came up with something much more pleasing to the eye (in our opinion).
The beauty of this is that you really only to replace as little as 1 file in the theme directory to get this look. I am planning on tweaking it more and possibly even tweaking additional files that Whmcs relies on as well as some of the common addons to suite this style eg the Project Management add-on which we use.
Instructions to install whmcs blend admin theme rebirth:
- Download the latest version of the blend admin theme here
- FTP into your Whmcs install directory and go to /admin/templates/blend
- Backup your original style.css file by renaming it to style.css.original
- Upload the new style.css file into the same directory
- Finally hard refresh the whmcs admin panel CTRL+F5 to see the changes. Done!
If you want to revert back to what you had easy! just undo the changes you made.
I went one step further and did a slight modification to the attention bar which has now been reintroduced into Whmcs v5.1.
Instructions to install attention bar mod:
- FTP into your Whmcs install directory and go to /modules/widgets
- Backup your original system_overview.php file by renaming it to system_overview.php.original
- Upload the new system_overview.php file into the same directory
- Follow by a hard refresh. Done
I did my best to iron our any bugs i found and so far so good, i cant guarantee this will work with any future updates of Whmcs.
